Gradalis has been offering innovative approaches in the extension of education for children with special needs for a decade. The training in Remedial, Therapeutic, and Transdisciplinary Education provides each student with a deepened Anthropsophical awareness of and enlivened capacity to discern the child’s incarnation process. Students explore an array of transdisciplinary approaches to working with students of all ages who are experiencing challenges in becoming whole and holy human. Gradalis strives to honor Michaelic (courageous) and Sophianic (compassionate) thinking in all mainstream healing approaches. By embracing the essential truths within each healing stream and helping students of Anthropsophy to find their own relationship to it, we hope to offer a fully comprehensive approach, liberated from dogmatic methodology and vague mystical sentiments. Our students have, for the most part, completed other professional trainings, such as Waldorf Teacher Training or speech and language pathology or Eurythmy training, as a pre-requisite for admission into our courses. Due to the fact that our courses are Anthroposophically based, it is encouraged that each applicant have some familiarity with it or at least a background that is compatible.

Anthropos (to be fully human) Sophia (Wisdom) “is a path of knowledge, to guide the Spiritual in the human being to the Spiritual in the universe.” To take this path into one’s life requires a willingness to make it a lifetime soul stance. Anthropsophy is the life work of Rudolf Steiner, Ph.D. He was an Austrian philosopher, initiate and teacher in numerous fields. Many people, who study Anthropsophy take the guiding principles of this body of knowledge and apply it in their chosen professional vocation. Hence there are Anthroposophical Medical Clinics, Biodynamic Farms, Waldorf Schools, Camphill Special Schools and Communities for people with special needs, and countless varieties of Anthropsophical Organizations.
